Churchill Cup Final: USA 32, Russia 25.

Ian Muir Photo/Rugbymag.com
In the last competition named the Churchill Cup the USA Rugby Eagles have beaten Russia to win the Bowl.  This was the conclusion of the Eagles 1-2 campaign in Worcester, England that saw the Americans get beaten badly by Tonga (44-13) and the England Saxons (87-8).

You can read about the final match at these links.  Seems troubling that even in a victory, most would rather comment on their opinions that the jerseys were ugly or too flashy for a team with limited skill.

The game is still available on Universal Sports and actually all three finals are available.  I believe $4.99 gets you access to view all three finals matches:

England Saxons vs Canada
Italy A vs Tonga
USA vs Russia

You can find the games at http://www.Universalsports.com and navigate to the rugby videos.  Currently the webpage has an option to choose topics that are "hot now".  In the heading click on Rugby and it will give you plenty of videos to choose from.  Some of the videos there are Top Hits and Top Scores from the Churchill Cup Finals.  Universal Sports did a similar highlight reel for the Collegiate Rugby Championsip in Philadelphia at the beginning of the month, so these highlights should probably be expected for NBC's RWC coverage and possibly for the test matches that the USA has scheduled against Canada (home and away) and Japan (location tbd).  Enjoy!
